IPL 2020: No Opening Ceremony and Cheerleaders for this season
This cash-rich tournament is known not only for cricket but also for its razzle-dazzle environment. Many cricket fans or viewers visit the venue just to have a glimpse of glamorous stars and cheerleaders. Anyhow, in this pandemic situation BCCI’s move to have no opening ceremony is laudable. This is for the first time in IPL history; there will be no cheerleaders as well.
The wait is about to over as tournament is starting tomorrow on 19 September 2020 at 7.30 PM. The opening match will be played between 4-time champions Mumbai Indians and 3-time winners Chennai super kings at Abu Dhabi. A total of 56 matches will be played in the tournament with the final match on November 10.
BCCI’s Present President Sourav Ganguly also added positive remarks about this grand event’s viewership. He sounded positive saying this season will have the Highest TRP ratings as most of the fans will be stuck to tv in the current scenario of the pandemic. The expert confirmed that there may be 30% audience allowed lately following the social distancing and other protocols.
