IPL 2020: Point list, Orange and Purple cap updated list after MI vs KKR Match
Mumbai Indians are at the top of the point list after beating Kolkata knight riders by 49 runs at The Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Rohit Sharma made a super duo with Surya Kumar Yadav. He blew 6 sixes with a total of 80 scores in 54 balls and became the first cricketer in IPL series to score 904 against KKR. It was the first time MI’s maiden the victory in UAE grounds.
Rohit said :
“It was all about how we executed our plans today, we were in good positions and it was all about being ruthless. The wicket was good and dew was coming down. I back myself to play the pull shots and have practised quite a bit. Pretty happy with the performance of my squad,”
KKR could not match up to the target score 195 aggregated by opponents MI. With disappointing performances by Eoin Morgan (16) and Andre Russell (11), KKR was all out at 146.
Orange Cap List (highest run-scorer)
Faf du Plessis from CSK has remained consistent from the very beginning of IPL 2020 took him to the top spot of the IPL 2020 Orange Cap list. During the first match on 19 September 2020 against MI, he helped the team to win by picking five-wickets. His performance in the second match too was laudable. This African batsman scored 71 runs against RR on Tuesday with a total of 128 runs in this IPL series.
On the second spot of the orange cap, IPL 2020 is Rohit Sharma, the opening batsman and captain of MI after hitting 80 off 54 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. His total score till now is 92 runs at an average of 46. Mayank Agarwal from KXIP has managed to occupy 3rd spot with 89 runs that just in a single match.

Purple Cap List (highest wickets)
Again it is Chennai super kings’ all-rounder Sam Curran who picked four wickets with an average of 15.25 in two matches and is at the top of purple cap list. Lungi Ngidi has also bagged the same number of the wickets, but due to his high average rate, he was shifted to 2nd spot. At 3rd and 4th spots are Mohammad Shammi and Yujwendra Chahal.
