Shane Warne gave a Positive signal about the comeback of Ben stokes’ in RR
England all-rounder Ben stokes has been an integral part of Rajasthan Royals and they are missing him. Stoke has not participated in this tournament for some personal reasons but Shane Warne the current mentor of RR confirmed saying that he might reach UAE in the middle of IPL 2020 tournament. Though he didn’t mention the exact timeframe. Shane Warne, the former Australian spinner told PTI:
“Hopefully, Ben Stokes would play a part this year, he’s a big loss and our thoughts are with him, but you know, add Ben to the team that played the other night and it looks a very, very good side,”
At present stokes is with his family in New Zealand. He has been there since August 2019 when his father was diagnosed with brain cancer. Stoke is among the top players even missed the two test against Pakistan. Shane Warne is also too keen for stokes to rejoin the team. He said:
“I liked it, him (Smith) coming to open the innings,” opined Warne on Smith’s 69 and 50 in the first two games. “I am always a big believer in your best player having the opportunity to face the most amount of deliveries, so for me, you know Jos Buttler, Steve Smith and Sanju are one, two and three, respectively.”
He added further:
“Steve Smith and Andrew McDonald might have different ideas but I would always want my best players facing the maximum number of balls. We’ve got so many good players who could play so many different roles, but I personally like Steve Smith at the top,”
He even picked the top 4 teams that might reach the play-offs in IPL 2020 tournament. Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are his top four choices this year’s IPL play-offs.
