2020 | For the first time in IPL history, they reached the finals but were knocked out by defending champions; Mumbai Indians. |

Delhi Capitals (DC) is co-owned by the GMR group and the JSW group. GMR group bought this IPL franchise for US$84 million.
In March 2018, the JSW group bought the 50% stake of the franchise for INR 550 Crores about US$85 million.
As per the deal, each company will swap every 2 years starting from IPL 2019.
Rishabh Pant made his IPL debut in 2016. Also known as the swashbuckler; this left-handed batsman has played in U-19 World Cup 2016 in Bangladesh and won the tournament set a record for fastest half-century i.e. 74 off 28 balls. He made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2015 and scored a triple hundred against Maharashtra.
