IPL 2020 auction was a relatively shorter one, as only eight franchises took part in this IPL 2020 mega event.
A total of 73 slots were available to be filled by eight teams, of which 29 will be kept for foreign players. Out of which 62 were sold. All the franchises spent a total of Rs 1,40,30,00,000 in the IPL 2020 Auction.
Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals were the only three franchises who filled all their voids with 25 players. All the eight teams made sure to complete the quota of 8 overseas cricketers.

Australian all-rounder pat Cummins broke all the records. He was sold to the highest bid of ₹15.5 crores to KKR, he even surpassed ben stokes’ record of ₹14.5 crores in 2017 to Rising Pune Supergiant. FYI, he was just 50 lakhs less than the highest-paid player Yuvraj Singh in the IPL history.
